MEDICAL RESEARCH GRANTS
APPLICATIONS FOR FUNDING IN 2024
(Please refer to the News and Events page for information on BGRF PhD scholarships)
Institutions are asked to select the three best applications for research into progressive neurological disorders, stroke or palliative care for funding in 2024. The three selected applications must be submitted by the relevant institution in the week beginning 1 August, 2023 no later than 5.00 pm on 5 August 2023.
Project grants for sums between $20,000 and $50,000 will be considered. Applicants must be carrying out research in the State of Victoria and preference will be given to research
projects which have an active link with Calvary Health Care Bethlehem.
We won’t accept applications any other time and only those approved, and sent centrally from each institution will be considered. Also we can only accept one application from each researcher regardless of whether they are the chief investigator or a member of another team.
Researchers must be able to commence their project at the beginning of 2024 for completion on 31 December 2024.
All projects are funded for one year and investigators seeking further funding will need to apply as separate complete projects for each year. The Foundation is committed to maximizing medical research and will not fund administrative overheads.
Applications will be assessed using the criteria below:
• Innovation and creativity
• Research quality and feasibility
• Significance, and
• Track record relative to opportunity
An application form with restrictions on length can be downloaded from : http://www.bethlehemgrf.com.au/requestfunding.aspx as it is the same as last year.
